Emergency Veterinary Care Should Be Accessible. We’re Committed to Making It That Way.
We know a pet emergency is never planned.
We know a pet emergency is never planned.
When your pet needs emergency care, the last thing you should be worrying about is how to pay for it. At Beacon Emergency Veterinary Hospital, we believe every pet deserves access to high-quality care and we’ve built our financing options around that belief.
We’re locally owned, veterinarian-led, and deeply invested in the Tampa Bay community. You’re our neighbors. That’s not something we say lightly. It’s the reason we’ve worked hard to offer more financing options than any other emergency veterinary hospital in the area. Because when it’s 2 a.m., and your dog is sick, cost should not be the thing standing between your pet and the care they need.
More ways to pay than any other ER in Tampa Bay.
Before your pet’s treatment begins, one of our team members will walk you through a treatment plan and estimated costs. If financing makes sense for your family, we’ll help you apply on the spot. Applying takes minutes, and you’ll often have an answer right away.
We partner with four lenders, so you have real, accessible options:
CareCredit
One of the most widely used healthcare financing cards in the country. CareCredit offers promotional financing periods and can be used for future veterinary or human healthcare visits, not just tonight’s emergency.

From seizures to surgery, we help families find a way.
Emergency care costs vary depending on what your pet needs. Here are some of the most common reasons pets come to Beacon and the kinds of care involved. All of these can be financed through our lending partners.
-
Seizures and Neurological Emergencies: Seizures in dogs and cats can require immediate IV medication, hospitalization for monitoring, and diagnostics, including bloodwork and sometimes advanced imaging. Treatment can range from a single-visit stabilization to multi-day hospitalization. Financing helps families move forward quickly rather than delaying care during a neurological crisis.
-
Foreign Body Ingestion and Surgery: Dogs eat things they shouldn’t. Socks, toys, corn cobs, bones, and more. Cats get into string and linear foreign bodies that can cause serious intestinal damage. When an object is lodged in the GI tract, surgery is often necessary and time-sensitive. Foreign body surgeries are among the most common high-cost emergencies we see, and financing makes it possible for families to say yes without hesitation.
-
Hospitalization and Critical Care: Pets who are severely ill, dehydrated, in pain, or experiencing organ dysfunction often require hospitalization with IV fluids, medications, oxygen support, and continuous monitoring. Multi-day hospitalizations represent some of the largest emergency bills families face. Our financing partners allow you to spread that cost over time.
-
Toxin Ingestion and Poisoning: Xylitol, grapes, rat poison, certain medications, and common household chemicals can all send a pet into crisis. Treatment may involve decontamination, IV fluids, antidotes, and hospitalization. Quick action matters, and financing means cost doesn’t slow that decision down.
-
Trauma: Hit by Car, Falls, Bite Wounds Trauma cases often require imaging, pain management, wound care, and sometimes orthopedic or soft tissue surgery. These cases can escalate quickly, and the costs reflect that. We help families navigate both the medical and financial decisions in real time.
-
Urinary Blockages: A blocked cat is a true emergency. Without treatment, it is fatal. Unblocking and stabilizing a cat typically involves sedation, catheterization, IV fluids, and monitoring over two to three days. Financing means families can move forward immediately without delay.
-
Respiratory Distress and Heart Conditions: Pets in respiratory distress or heart failure need oxygen, diagnostics, and often cardiac medications fast. These cases require immediate action and can involve significant cost. We’re equipped to stabilize your pet and walk your family through every option, including financial ones.
-
Gastrointestinal Emergencies: Bloat, Vomiting, Pancreatitis GDV, commonly known as bloat with stomach torsion, is a surgical emergency with a narrow survival window. Severe pancreatitis, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, and intestinal obstruction all carry significant treatment costs. Financing gives families a path forward when time matters most.
-
End of Life Care: Even the hardest decisions deserve dignity. Beacon provides compassionate end-of-life services, including euthanasia and aftercare. We will never let cost be a barrier to a peaceful goodbye.
No surprises. No pressure. Just honest conversations.
Before any treatment begins, we provide a written estimate. We walk you through what each level of care involves and what to expect so you can make informed decisions for your pet and your family. We present the high end of what care may cost so you are never caught off guard.
We don’t pressure families. We inform them.
If your situation is complicated, financially or medically, we’ll talk through it with you. There is always a conversation to be had and we will always lead with how we can help.
